How You Can Help

Help Through Donations

Shelter from rain, wind and sun is a basic human need.  With your help, more deserving families can have decent places to call home. Give families in need shelter, self-respect and the hope of a better life. Our ministry puts faith into action through empowerment and hard work. And it’s easy for you to help! Just give us a call or email and we'll help you with your one-time, monthly, or yearly donation.  Or, if you wish to make a donation online, do so by clicking here;  you'll be taken to Habitat for Humanity's International site where you can click the orange button labeled "Designate Your Gift".

There is yet another alternative when it comes to donating: a bank draft program is available that allows you to designate a contribution amount to be withdrawn from your bank account on a monthly or quarterly basis. We are not asking for a large monthly contribution;  a few dollars a month can add up over time. Please consider making the bank draft program a part of your regular charitable giving. The steady flow of income from this program will help WCHfH become a stronger, more sustainable service organization.

  • To download the bank draft form, click here (Adobe© Reader© is required to read the form; if you don't have it installed on your computer, click here for a free copy.)  Print out the bank draft form, fill it out, and send it to the WCHfH office at the address listed on the Contact Information page.

Corporate Sponsorship

Habitat for Humanity's Corporate Sponsorship program challenges corporations to work with us to ensure that all people have decent, affordable shelter. Corporate partnerships address the problem of poverty housing, providing a positive solution and offering a wealth of benefits to corporations, including tax deductions, high-voltage public relations and a permanent positive effect on company morale. On a Habitat build, united in the goal of helping those in need, employees at every level get to see each other at their best. It's an opportunity to grow, to bond and to experience good feelings that get carried back to the workplace.

There are numerous ways to form a partnership with Habitat, whether through product donations, financial support, mobilizing employees as Habitat volunteers or a combination of these possibilities. Habitat invites you to join us as we work in partnership with people in need everywhere, helping them to secure decent, affordable shelter.

Volunteer!

Skilled Construction Volunteers
We need skilled construction volunteers to help with electrical work, plumbing, masonry, and roofing at current and future building sites. Interested individuals are encouraged to share their skills with Habitat.

Please don't hesitate to call if you think that one of these positions might be right for you, or if you would like to hear about other volunteer opportunities like these:

Unskilled Volunteers
Unskilled volunteer groups and individuals are welcome at our Habitat sites. Groups are assigned crew leaders who teach members the necessary skills. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays days are generally construction days. But ALL volunteers MUST sign up with the Volunteer Coordinator BEFORE arriving on the site. If you or your group has a skill area (e.g., electrical, plumbing, roofing, masonry), we encourage you to contact our office.

Youth Volunteers
Due to labor laws, you must be at least 16 years of age to work on a construction site. If you are at least 14, you can volunteer at our warehouse or office, or on fundraising and support (which is great for groups) where you can help to organize our building supplies and improve our inventory system, landscaping or site cleanup. Volunteer dates for youths ages 14 and 15 need to be scheduled in advance.
